The art of Evan Roy Dahlke reflects the native Southern Californian’s own zest for living. Evan’s signature abstract landscapes (aka “abscapes”) with their vibrant colors and bold textures please the eye and inspire the soul.
After many years of painting private homes and businesses, one of Evan’s customers noted that his sample boards, with their subtle shading of colors and mixed textures, were beautiful enough to frame and hang on the walls. This led to the discovery of an amazing talent to create stunning art pieces for others to enjoy. A master of faux painting, Evan was one of the first artists to adapt these decorative products to produce gallery-quality works of art.
This distinctive approach pulls the viewer into the art to feel the energy and vibrancy residing there. Constantly challenging himself to experiment with new techniques and ways of layering the products, Evan enjoys producing unique pieces to please his customers. An active travel schedule allows for many opportunities to photograph the natural beauty of our country which, in turn, inspires new paintings. Evan has earned a solid reputation as a sought-after gallery artist, showcasing his work in multiple markets from Los Angeles to New York.
Born in 1970, Evan is a member of the Redlands Art Association and the Orange County Fine Arts Association. He currently resides in Grand Terrace, California, with his wife, Adda, and loves to help others bring beauty, peace and joy into their homes through art.
