My art is the distillation of three decades in the creative side of the advertising and marketing industry as a graphic and web designer, working with a vast array of people, media and image building challenges. These experiences and challenges define my approach to my art.
I draw inspiration and ideas from everything around me, media is fuel for my experiments on canvas with textures, form, color, metal and foils. The final touch is the frame, made of exotic hard woods and metal accents. A native of So. California, I began drawing and painting at an early age. Creativity seemed to come naturally and I was encouraged to develop my talent. Throughout my formal education I majored in fine art and commercial art. I moved to Hawaii in 1979 and lived there through the 80's. By the early 90s I felt it was time to come back to the mainland to pursue my career.
